Museum Virtual Tour Page #4

Cab of a 3/4 Ton Dodge truckAnother of the trucks at the Museum is the "Truck, Cargo, ¾ Ton, 4X4, M37Cdn" and this is what it looks like inside the cab. The truck was built by Dodge in 1952 and it served the Canadian army from then until its retirement in 1978. The Museum obtained this vehicle from CFB Petawawa and it has been painted with the markings for the 2nd Royal Canadian Horse Artillery Regiment shortly after the Korean War, circa 1953.

I haven't been able to take a ride in this truck myself but it sure looks like fun when it's bouncing across the countryside! But notice how thin the steering wheel looks? Very different from the controls we see in cars and trucks today.
